Last Tuesday our school participated in J rock(stage challenge) the performers spent weeks perfecting  there act the big night had come

Gymnastics

Our class is starting a new programe in gymnastics we learnt about safety when we fall of things at different heights then we went to activities one group went to the foam pit and beam walks. The other group went to an obstacle course we had a lot of fun. We look forward to next time to do summer salts.

population studies

Today our class looked at different countries population and the land mass of over populated countries. then we filled out a graph to show the area that an average person would take up on a rugby field depending on the density of that countries population.

Visualising

This term room 14s main focus for reading is visualising.  Visualising is when you read a text and you can see pictures in your mind. This is like a movie in your mind

GOOGLE ACCOUNTS!

Today we learnt about google accounts ant how they benefit our learning. In our google account we can create our own web site make a calendar and much more.

swimming sports 2011

The other day we had our school swimming sports. The weather was hot and the swimmers were fast. Before we went to the pool we had to get changed into house colours red for Rata, green for Rimu, yellow for Nikau and blue for Ngaio. The first event was the 50 metre freestyle race seeing Ngaio win.Through out the day all the houses were winning events and having a good time cheering there houses on but the over all winner of the nelson intermediate school swimming sports of 2011 was Ngaio!!!
